Entertaining is one of life's greatest pleasures. When the gathering is with some nice long-time friends, it's like icing on a cake - a sweet and an extra treat. Got cordially invited to Teresa's house for steamboat last night and the dinner was such a yummy and warm gathering for her, me, Ivy, Ee Lin and Michael !!
Ivy & i arranged to meet up with Teresa first in the late afternoon for groceries shopping at the Cold Storage, Bukit Timah Plaza. That's the nearest supermarket located near her place at Bukit Batok. Instead of helping to provide ideas or opinions on how the feast to be prepared, i ended up taking random shots in the supermarket while Ivy & Teresa were busy sourcing for the best food. They didn't mind though, as after all, they know i love photographing. Below are some pics of what i have snapped at the Cold Storage supermarket.
(Above) A snapshot of the food that we bought for the steamboat feast !!
Outside window view from Teresa's house. Her unit is located in a very nature and quiet living environment, i like it very much !!
Upon arrival at Teresa's house, Ivy & i immediately helped to unpack the food and portioned them out in a tray for the steamboat. The 3 of us were so hungry & yet couldn't start to feast even though we managed to prepare everything within a short time because we had to wait for Ee Lin and Michael who were late for the feast !!
In the midst of this lunar new year celebration, an evening with beloved friends seemed like a treasured gift. Everyone savored every moment, much like every bite of the menu. How could gratitude not fill the heart to the breaking point for such an evening??
I gazed around til late night at Teresa's place, feeling lucky to have such a warm group of friends and i know they feel the same way as i do !! :-)
