Here is the blog post on Part 2 of my recent trip to Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Tourists by the thousands journey to Chiang Mai every year looking for the fabulous attractions and fascinating history the city has to offer. I must admit that it is not as metropolitan in spirit as Bangkok but it is becoming gradually more modern and has several luxury and economical hotels to offer. It offers a cooler mountain climate and breathtaking natural beauty. It is an ideal retreat for those seeking a tranquil and sedate vacation.

I am actually supposed to continue with a blog post on the Part 5 of my recent roadtrip to America but i sort of decided to put that part on hold for the time being. Reason being is that i have also made another trip to Chiang Mai in the northern Thailand recently after i came back from the States. Some of you are waiting to view some pics of my Thailand trip, so for my readers out there, please be assured that i will definitely continue soon again with the story on my recent US trip...
Time is really not enough for me as i will be away again soon for another photography trip. It has been a real busy and fruitful travelling year for me..Well, that's actually also a good thing for my readers out there, as there will be no lack of nice and interesting photos to read about & look at in my blog!! Please continue to enjoy and find life in my photos :-) I went to Chiang Mai just a couple of weeks later after i came back to Singapore from the States. In fact, i was kinda of still on the roller coaster adventure of perpetual US travel then. I had to adjust myself back (not just from jetlag) as well as getting to know another new place, another living culture in Asia and that's Chiang Mai. You will find that this Part 1 blog post is mainly a Black & White (B&W) capture of Chiang Mai. Here is the Part 4 of my recent roadtrip to America - this blog post is titled VIVA LAS VEGAS.
Las Vegas and New York City are two American cities that perfectly reflect the country’s effervescent and vivacious spirit. I was lucky to have a chance to get acquainted with one of the world’s two most frequented destinations - and that's Las Vegas!! Las Vegas, commonly known as a Sin City – the mere mention of the name conjures up images of glittering casinos, gigantic hotels and dancing girls. A pure entertainment plaza of Las Vegas is all one needs to experience when boredom and monotony creeps up in the life. Here is the Part 3 of my recent roadtrip to America. This blog post is just on Alcatraz Island, an infamous and yet very popular former prison landmark in San Francisco. To this day, Alcatraz is best known as one of the world's most legendary prisons. If you have a chance to visit San Francisco, you must go and experience the beauty, history and infamy of Alcatraz on the San Francisco Bay. You'll be astounded by what you learn and see. Today Alcatraz swarms with tourists - about a million a year!!
Alcatraz Island is an island located in the San Francisco Bay. Often referred to as "The Rock", the small island was developed with facilities for a lighthouse, a military fortification and a military prison in the 1960s. Here goes my 2nd blog post on a recent roadtrip to America. This blog post is actually a sub-section of my first blog post mainly on California - San Francisco and Los Angeles (LA).
America has always been linked with the car and this drive, in the state that many feel epitomises the country, links two of the US's best loved cities. Highway 1 stretches along the Californian coast, and the section between Los Angeles and San Francisco is definitely a manageable and decidedly cool trip ! Okay, i know some of you have been waiting to view the photos taken in my recent trip to USA, so im gonna try to fit all the best photos from this trip into one post. I took more photos on this trip then any other trip I’ve ever taken, so it’s gonna be hard to narrow down enough for a blog post. Most likely i might have to do it in sections. It might be a little bit till I get to Part 2, I’ve been really busy and haven’t really had time to put it all together. It will probably be a big one for sure. First, I’ll give a little recap of what went down.
This blog post covers my trip in California, San Francisco via the Pacific Coast Highway and in Los Angeles (LA) for the scenics. San Francisco presents the world with a multitude of activities from Fisherman’s Wharf to the Golden Gate Bridge. One of the most popular activities takes no money and very little effort. Watching the sea lions at Pier 39 captivates young and old. The sea lions, or sea-lebrities, have been hanging out at Pier 39 since the 1990s. |
