Sometimes i really wonder how it is like being a Formula One driver. A lot of tough training to go through before becoming one. If there is a slight chance, i would really like to try it out !
Finally gotten a chance to meet my F1 idol in person - Mercedes Team, Nico Rosberg !!! Some other lucky fans also got to do just that at a Q&A session with Nico Rosberg at the Paragon shopping centre yesterday. Initially, the event was held only for the media, the public was also invited to join in the event and there I was, yeah !!! The new ravishing red Mercedes - Be AMGnz SLS which was on display at the event. This new Mers costs S$771,000 !!! Nico Rosberg himself is currently driving a Merceds-Benz C63 AMG.
It's a sight worth watching - cable cars up in the sky. Breakfast is my favorite eating-out meal. This is exactly what this place provided - sip a cup of coffee, read a book or newspapers - although it's located in such a touristy spot, watching cable cars actually kept me busier than my book.
Watching lanterns is one of the most important celebrations on 元宵节. The lantern would first take off in one large group – would spread out with the wind – some hovering, then fading as the flame within them would burn out and disappear into the night. Since young, i have always been very fascinated by the different colours of chinese lanterns, they are just too colourful.
A belated birthday treat from a long-time friend, Irene at this newly-opened Japanese restaurant, Watami at Raffles City. There is also another outlet at ION Orchard. For the prices on Watami’s menu, you will probably not get the best Japanese food. Instead, it is all about the causal dining and the enjoyment of decent Japanese food at a very affordable price. And also, the service is excellent. Special thanks to Irene for this yummy lunch !!! :-)
Some pics of this Taiwanese singer, Ding Dang (丁噹) having an autograph session with her fans at Bugis Junction on a Friday evening. Her singing career took off in her first album which included a duet with Ah Shin 阿信 from Mayday 五月天 band titled <走火入魔>.
Sometimes we would idly dream about where the plane could take us, exotic journeys to far off places. The thrill of the possible. All the unimaginable possibilities of a world that seemed very large. I found a good spot and was entertained by watching all the airliners land and takeoff. And you know, it is a kind of magic. Just sit down, read a book or a magazine or take a nap and in just a short time you are hundreds or thousands of miles from home. No real effort required on your part, just sit there.
Went to soon-to-be default Tanjong Pagar Railway Station. The Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) station in Tanjong Pagar will be relocated to Woodlands by 1 July 2011.
My bestie's son and also my cute god-son. It's always so heartwarming to be able to snap such a nice shot like the one above - a photo of a happy mother with her son.
Another concept store. Heard and read so much about this newly-opened cafe at Ann Siang Road, named Shots Cafe where customers can buy three kinds of "shots": espresso, sake and photographs. It's indeed a very cozy cafe where you can have a nice cup of coffee while chatting or reading a book and listening to nice songs at the same time. For these, i will try to hang out more often at this cafe in future, yeah !! :-)
One of Jackie Chan's owned properties in Singapore - the former Jinrikisha Station at One Neil Road. This historic property was once a central depot for rickshaw drivers in S'pore. The 3-storey corner building in Tanjong Pagar now houses a music lounge called EZ50 and The 50s Pubs.
