Yippee!! I received a phone call recently while i was away from the organiser for the 'We Welcome Families' Photo Contest, informing me that my submitted photo was shortlisted and won a S$150 cash prize in the F&B category of this photo contest!! There are 4 categories in this contest - F&B, Leisure & Lifestyle, Services and Shopping Mall. The judges for this contest will pick a weekly lucky winner for each category from 3rd to 29th September 2011 and i was so lucky that my photo topped the F&B category for the week one of this contest. :-) The winning pictures for week one of this contest was published in TODAY newspapers dated 12 September 2011. The theme of this photo contest is to submit a photo of your family (at least 2 generations), taken in a family-friendly business outlet. You must creatively capture a family-feature and the business logo of the outlet. My published photo is a shot of my whole family including my cute little nephew and niece taken at Lao Beijing chinese restaurant located at Novena Square. We enjoyed the family meal very much at the restaurant that day. :-) When it comes to family bonding, nothing beats having a good meal together. The family that eats together, stays together. Eating and exercising right is more enjoyable when you are with family, friends, and people who care about each other.
So, what are you waiting for? Start nourishing your family bonds at the dinner table!!

This is the third time in which 2 of my photos are currently on exhibit at Cat Socrates 苏格拉底猫 Bookcafe with a theme this time round to be "Cats of our Lives". Everyone has a story, even cats. Each photograph shortlisted for display in the "Cats of our Lives" exhibition brings a strong visual sense to the art of storytelling and able to illuminate the dynamic human-pet relationship, revealing how dogs and cats share our emotions in many significant ways. Shortlisted "Cats of our Lives" photographs are currently on exhibition from 1 September to 31 October 2011. Location of CAT SOCRATES 苏格拉底猫 bookstore cafe: Bras Basah Complex #03-39B Exhibition Timing: 12 noon - 8 pm (Daily) 1 pm - 7 pm (Sunday & Public Holiday) Some people are cat people, some are dog people. But regardless of which camp they fall into, most people are simply crazy about their pets. The connections people form with their cats and dogs are often the longest, strongest relationships in their lives. What makes these animals such key members in some people's lives?
They can be our soul mates or best friends. What makes these animals such key members of our families? Perhaps it’s because our furry friends have long provided us with comfort, camaraderie, and unconditional love. Cats and dogs are our unending source of kisses, cuddles, slobber, claws, and laughs. A MEOW to all cats and dog lovers!! :-) p/s: To view my past photographs being exhibited at Cat Socrates Bookcafe, please feel free to browse my "Photography Exhibition" category. Thank you.
