Here goes my 2nd blog post on a recent roadtrip to America. This blog post is actually a sub-section of my first blog post mainly on California - San Francisco and Los Angeles (LA). America has always been linked with the car and this drive, in the state that many feel epitomises the country, links two of the US's best loved cities. Highway 1 stretches along the Californian coast, and the section between Los Angeles and San Francisco is definitely a manageable and decidedly cool trip ! San Francisco is no doubt among the most expensive cities to live in and to visit in the United States but your San Francisco holiday does not have to drain your savings. Budget travel San Francisco is possible and there are a lot of things that you can do for free in San Francisco. San Francisco is a thrilling city renowned for its unique weather, steep rolling hills, Victorian and modern architecture and diverse cosmopolitan population. In my 1st as well as this (2nd) blog post, i have put up some photos of the “world’s most crookedest road” in Lombard Street and got some good photos. It was really cool to see something which I’ve seen in so many photos. Lombard St was awesome, although the walking up and then down the hill on the other side was tough. The drive ride was also very steep! Whenever i passed by Golden Gate Bridge, which is a world known tourist place, the feeling was great. I was a care-free tourist in this big city and at that spur of moment, i wanted very much to stay on forever in this place. Been driving north out of San Francisco, tracing the Pacific Coast Highway from the city to the shore, over curvy mountain passes and windswept cliffs, past little-known towns and peaceful lagoons. The drive from San Francisco to Yosemite took about 3 to 4 hours if you were to drive it non-stop, but there are just so many reasons to pull over. It's simply one of the best, most beautiful short drives in all of California… I must say that the Pacific Coast Highway between San Francisco and Los Angeles is all about slowing down and swooning. Backdrops like this will bring out anyone's inner romantic..... I recently spent a beautiful summer holiday at San Francisco. San Francisco…what a beautiful city! Everywhere you look you can see something iconic and so obviously San Francisco, like the Golden Gate bridge, Alcatraz out in the bay, the steeply-hilled streets, the apartments with big bay windows and fire escapes and cable cars. It’s all so cool!!
Thanks to all of you for reading my blog, hope you enjoyed it so far as much i enjoyed writing and living it!! :-) A Roadtrip to America - Part 3 - To be continued....
