So, what is it about this blog that has kept me going for so long?
The main reason I started this blog was because I had (and still have) a passion for writing, exploring and sharing interesting things with people.
So this blog gives me a voice, a way to express myself and share things that I’m passionate about. It is a place to share who I am and what moves me in this world. It has essentially become a story of my life over the past 11 years – things I’ve done, places I’ve visited and things I’ve learned along the way.
But, I think the thing that inspires me the most to keep blogging, is the lessons it has taught me and continues to teach me. Blogging can be a lot of work, and there is always something to learn. Something is always changing in the blogging world, which means I will need to continue to learn and adapt to the technology around me. This includes learning about social media platforms, running a website, growing my platform, writing high quality content, and more. This is something that I love about blogging – it’s never stale and there’s always a new challenge.
More importantly, it reminds me to look at the world more openly, to be brave enough to tell a story, and to never give up on my passions no matter how hard it gets.
I made so many mistakes, and I still make mistakes today. But, I continue to learn and improve, which has shaped this blog into what it is today.
It would be great if this blog was my full-time paying job, but that’s not why I started it. And that’s also why after all these years, I’m still dedicated to this blog, to what it means to me and the potential (big or small) I know it has for me in the future.
I am deeply grateful to you all for the constant support, and for stopping in and taking time to read my blog. My writing derives meaning only when you visit my blog. And for this, I cannot thank you enough. I hope to continue this journey as long as I can.
Thank you all once again.
