This famous China Square Fried Fish Soup stall has relocated to Tanjong Pagar MRT Station from China Square Foodcourt early last year. I was there for lunch to try it out on their speciality dish - Shredded Omelette in Fish Soup - and turned out to be still yummylicious as ever !!!
Their recipes haven't changed since the stall was established way back in 1983, starting its first stall at Garden Street, followed by at the old Blanco Court, then to China Square Food Court and its now at Tanjong Pagar Xchange.
What you'll get for S$5, for instance, is a large bowl of firm thick bee hoon (as seen in these pics) in super clear soup that tastes best when spiked with lots of cut chilli. There are pieces of freshly fried fish and strands of that yummy golden omelette in it, which the owner claims that it is made with a 'secret seasoning inside the eggs'. WOW !!!
