Happy Boxing Day !!! Managed to come back to S'pore to celebrate X'mas cum gift exchange with some long-time buddies, before i am away again for another travel photography trip !!! Below are some few pics of my X'mas celebration with Audrey a.k.a Ah Bao, Joanne & Junyu. Merry Christmas !!!
Went to this newly-opened shopping mall named NEX, located at Serangoon Central, just next to Serangoon MRT Station & bus interchange. It's a soon-to-be another buzzling heartland mall in S'pore. It was so crowded when i arrived at the mall & there are so many shops, especially some new retail entrants which i haven't even heard before (the developer has done a good job in this mall). There is also a cinema on the 4th level, another option venue to catch movies, besides Junction 8 mall (near my house) or the forever crowded town area.
As i need to go off soon after X'mas lunch cum gift xchange with Joanne & Junyu, i will pop by more often to 'racky' this mall after i come back from my trips next year. :-
We chose to dine at this causal aussie fare at Mad Jack Cafe where the food prices are at great value. The place does look enticing with its warm decor and new yorkish sidewalk cafe feel.
Mad Jack cafe serves quite a good range of vegetarian dishes, that's also the reason why we chose to dine at this place because Junyu is a vegeterian !!
I ordered this redish detoxifying agent drink - a mix of healthy fruits - Beetroot, cucumber & carrot . It was the one thing good about the meal.
Well, i must admit that the overall taste of the food here is just average. In addition, their service is never terribly good. I've never seen the same server in our few requests there, which sadly translates to erratic service. There is no service charge in the bill, perharps that's the reason why the waiters provided such a 'hack-care' attitude.
OK, the exchange gift session shall now begins!!
Joanne gave me a gingerbread man !!! I did mentioned to her a couple of months ago that i don't mind receiving a gingerbread man as X'mas gift (i like gingerbread man very much, hee) & she remembered my words indeed. Thanks so much, Joanne, i like it very much !! :-)
We have finished unwrapping the presents, you'll realise all the gifts are red-coloured related stuff, simply because we have pre-set the theme as 'RED' for this year's X'mas gift exchange session !!
Gals, thanks so much for the X'mas gifts & the fun catching up over the meal at Mad Jack Cafe. I really enjoyed the session very much and i honestly look forward to our X'mas xchange gift session next year !! Hey, what shall be our next year's X'mas gift xchange theme?? Joanne said we all have 360 days (one year has 365 days) to think about it !!!
Here's my wishes to everyone that i know of in this world:-
Happy Christmas to one and all. Today is Christmas day and I hope everyone is having fantastic day with their family & loved ones. Billions of people around the world are having their Christmas lunch of Turkey and a nice lazy day.
It is a time to get away from work and the stresses of life and relax thinking about the good things in life. Hopefully everyone has received the Christmas present they have desired. The year is coming to end and 2011 is almost upon us. Hopefully next year will also be filled with joy and happiness !!! :-)
