Probably the only ramen joint my & my friend would actually line up for has finally opened a second outlet at UE Square. The original outlet is located at Mandarin Gallery. This new venture is a collaborative effort with TAO, a popular Japanese drum performance group, but please don't ask me what has to do with noodles, i simply haven't a clue. Brace oneself for copious amounts of red & black and a large TV screen playing repeats of TAO's live performances. The open concept kitchen means you get to watch the cute chefs in action. If that's all too much for you, enjoy your meal in their alfresco area. The ramen, duh! They have introduced two signatures exclusive to this second outlet - the TAO Kuro with thick noodles and the TAO Aka with spicy red miso. Why i'll be back is simply because for more noodle-slurping action and (here's hoping) to avoid the long queue at the Orchard outlet.
