Yesterday was my beloved nephew, Ryan's birthday!! Time flies, he is 7 years old this year. My sister-in-law is out of town for work, so she was unable to celebrate Ryan's birthday together with the whole family. Nonetheless, we went ahead to hold a close-up & warm celebration at my place for Ryan before his mother is back to S'pore on Monday (Ryan's actual birth date) to celebrate with him. As usual, he will always get a different birthday cake from me and i ordered a Diego birthday cake for him this year. I meant to get a Transformers cake for him from Bengawan Solo but unfortunately, that pantry shop has no longer hold rights for baking Transformers cake. Hence, i sought Ryan's opinion on this before he agreed to have a Diego cake instead to mark his 7th birthday this year. We just recently celebrated his sister (Rachelle) birthday a few weeks ago. Yes, so coincidentally, both Ryan's & Rachelle's birthday falls in the month of March !! In my earlier blog post this month on Rachelle's birthday celebration, i mentioned that Rachelle is a big fan of Dora The Explorer - a Spanish animated 7-year old girl who embarks on a trip in every episode in order to find something or help somebody. This animated boy named Diego is actually Dora's older cousin who also has a mission in life (just like Dora) who helps animals in danger, mainly in the rainforest. My nephew just recently extracted out one of his front tooth as part of growing new set of teeth at his age. Hence, we all advised him not to open his mouth when photoshooting. Just smile will do. He did a good job in photoshooting !! Words can’t express how much Ryan has changed my life. He is such a blessing to our family and watching him grow into a gorgeous handsome little man is so amazing. Sometimes, when i look back at the past taken pics of him & his sister, it’s crazy to see how fast they have grown…
Every day, they are learning new things and it’s such a blessing being able to witness that and share in those experiences with them. I obviously can’t be there for every first but the ones that I am fortunate enough to be there for are some of the most precious moments of my life. Happy birthday Ryan, my favorite little man! I hope you’re ready for another year of smooches !! Study hard !!

Well, he couldn't resist smiling without opening his mouth, but he still looks cute. It may be too late, but I would still like to greet him a belated happy birthday. :-) I've also have a nephew whom I love so much because he makes me smile and laugh whenever I'm sad. It's great to know how he makes you happy.
