在香港街坊老区西营盘，虽然邻近中上环，没有中上环般繁华光鲜，却有一种悠闲的生活感。这一带曾是渔船停泊的地方，因而逐渐形成了把海鲜晒成海味售卖的店铺。 近年，西营盘的艺里坊（Artlane）有多幅大型街头壁画成为打卡景点，吸引香港及韩国电视节目用作拍摄场地，不同画风的作品与四周景物融为一体，俨如一条色彩缤纷的艺术村。

After a three-year hiatus, ​the HKWALLS street art festival returned for its 8th edition in March 2023 — this time in the Central and Western Districts. This year featured an incredible line-up of talented street artists from Hong Kong and abroad. By way of background, HKWALLS is a non-profit art organisation that aims to create opportunities for artists to showcase their talents in Hong Kong and internationally.

对于壁画爱好者来说，除了西营盘的艺里坊，香港每年在各区举行的HKwalls壁画节都是一场必赴的盛宴。HKwalls是香港最大型街头创作涂鸦艺术节，始于2014，至今已是第八届，为期九到十天，透过公共艺术展示香港及国际艺术家的才华。这个艺术节已经为香港街头增添了不少壁画作品，每一幅壁画成为香港的特色都市风景。时隔三年，HKwalls在今年三月在中上环区重新举办公众展览，展出多幅由今届参展艺术家所创作的原创艺术品，以不同形式将街头文化展示予大众眼前。

​Ever since Hong Kong lifted all its travel restrictions, the eyes of the art world turned to Hong Kong as color, creativity, and vibrancy descended upon the city for the arts and culture scene. It is even a greater opportunity if you can meet the artists in person and get a sense of how they make their work and the creative process behind it.

穿梭在循迹多姿多彩的街头艺术，都可以畅享缤纷多元的艺术体验，让壁画为一趟香港旅程增添更多色彩。我因为喜欢美术，所以经常在旅途中寻找风格各异的壁画。拿着壁画地图到大街小巷去寻找壁画，其实是非常有趣的一件事。每次与壁画不期而遇都会让我觉得特别惊喜。创作一幅壁画要反复构思，还有顶着烈日和冒着大雨的可能，这个过程有着一般人看不到的辛苦，也有属于艺术创作者的乐趣。希望更多的人能够通过这些壁画来更多了解壁画背后的意义和故事。
